Cardiac First Responder - Community


CFR-C is the first level of training on the responder and practitioner certifications in Ireland.


Students will learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) who can respond to someone who has suddenly collapsed. Cardiac First Responders play a key role in the chain of survival by providing early access to the patient, immediate CPR and immediate use of an AED, thus providing patients with the best possible opportunity to recover prior to the arrival of basic and advanced life support.

  • Continuous Patient Management
  • Communications and Scene Management

Course Delivery

  • The course will be taught through classroom-style presentations and practical demonstrations.


Course Length

  • 4 hours.


Course Size

  • Maximum of 6 students for every instructor.


Cost

  • €65 per person.


Location

  • Course can be delivered at a PTAS training site or at a location of the client's choosing.


Certification

  • Participants receive a PHECC Cardiac First Responder - Community certificate, which is valid for two years.
