Schools First Aid


First aid courses are typically attended by adults, but rarely are school students taught first aid unless part of a voluntary ambulance organisation.


This one day course is for Transition Year students and similar to learn the basics skills they need in an emergency until help arrives. While similar to our basic first aid course, this course is geared towards the more common medical issues students may come across in daily life.

  • Choking and Respiratory Conditions
  • Head Injuries and Concussion
  • Poisons and intoxicants
  • Continuous Patient Management

  • CISM and Stress

Course Delivery

  • The course will be taught through classroom-style presentations and practical demonstrations.


Course Length

  • 6 hours.


Cost

  • €25 per student.


Location

  • Course delivered in a school classroom.



Certification

  • Participants receive a PTAS Certificate of Completion.
